You will be deeply missed John by the thousands of
people that own your work and your many friends.

My interest in photography began for me in grade school and continued throughout high school.  My life in fine art began one night when I walked in to a shopping mall and saw my first art show.

As time went on, I became friends with the promoter of the show, as well as many of the artists and craft persons. That was the day I began the journey to where I am now - this is where I would begin my imagery. My first art show was in that same mall in 1986 - six framed works were placed on a homemade A-frame.The promoter let me do that week long show for free to see if I could sell any images. You can imagine my delight when I sold all six images in the first two days!
My subjects are quite varied... from landscapes to abstracts. Each image represents a moment in space and time for me.Not just a picture, but a reflection of something which happened to stimulate and promote thought.

Though it is my moment, I attempt to entice those who view my images to become part of me or go beyond with there own feelings of the moment I present for them.As to how I create my images... many times I am asked if they are real.

This question arises from those knowing of the ability to manipulate the digital medium to create that which did not exist.Let me assure you that, with the exception of abstract images, I do NOT manipulate my photographs.

Even my abstracts are many times derived from real images which I have seen and recorded.

All of my images are signed and numbered and are in limited quantities.Any images framed are done so with quality framing materials such as Larsen & Juhl.My photo equipment is Nikon and Leica.

My printers are an Epson 9880 and an Epson Work Force 30.All of my inkjet work is printed on Epson inks and papers using archival materials and methods. These have a life of up to 100 years.

Conventional photographic printing is always on Kodak or Fuji papers.I am the only one creating and presenting my work.I have been honored with numerous awards throughout my many years of doing shows.

Originally from Dover , Ohio , I am self taught with knocks of life and a gift from God.
